MiniWhat now?
At some point near the start of Erin’s second trimester, we heard reports of a study that says every time a women is physically sick during her first trimester, her child’s IQ increases. Erin was not sick during her first trimester. Not once. She did suffer from quite a bit of heartburn, though. Heartburn can be an indicator that the child living in a woman’s innermost lady apartment is growing quite a bit of hair. If one were to look at this information a certain way, he might conclude that the current tenant of Erin’s innermost lady apartment is lacking in extra IQ points and covered in a pelt of downy fur. A tiny, unintelligent, overly-hairy animal. A fetal Sasquatch. MiniSquatch.
This is what passes for a joke in our house. And it is merely a joke. We have all the usual faith that the spawn we’re serving up will one day go on to become President of the terraformed moon planet of New Earth. Provided adolescence doesn’t go too poorly.
